Abstract

The instrument is intended for inserting and driving pins into medullar. It has a striker and an opening to accommodate one end of the pin. It has a hand grip (14) at right angles to the striker (12), to aid pin (18) positioing, together with a device (16) positively securing the pin in the opening (20). This device can be contained in the grip, and can be formed by a threaded spindle (22). Alternatively a clamping bolt, spring-loaded in the direction of the pin can be used for this purpose.
