Abstract

The equipment is for the intensive rearing of fish, and consists of a tubular component (1) of flexible plastics immersed in the sea, river or lake, and anchored (2,3) below water level. One end of the component is connected to a pipe (5), through which a pump delivers water to it drawn in at a suitable point, while the other end has a discharge pipe (11). Scrubbers can be included for internal and external cleaning of the component walls, typically comprising an external peripheral ring with permanent magnets and a brush and teeth engaged by a screw turned by a motor so as to drive it to and fro. This works with an internal ring with permanent magnets and brush.
