Abstract

Inclined inspection table for fabric has a pedal-operated drive for the fabric rollers, which are driven in synchronised rotation. Two headstocks control the winding and unwinding, and the fabric rolls are disposed on oscillating roller carriages with clutch gearing. The speed of winding can be controlled, and the direction of wind may be altered. Means are supplied for correct positioning of the roller carriages. The inspection appts. allows for fabric run-back to verify faults, and offers improved handling, by submitting the fabric to slight bending on shallow curves. Heavy carriages, contg. long runs of fabric are handled easily, and the productivity of inspection is thus improved.
