Abstract

The wishbone consists of two spars (8,80) which are symmetrical and mounted on either side of the sailboard mast (9). The spars are joined together by the flexible bracket (10). The opposite end of the spars are fitted with hinged brackets (14a,14b) which connect with the straight spars (13a,13b) joined together at the central hinge. The centre point, is located by the cords (17) which connect it to the mast. The sailboard may be sailed either with the wishbone closed, or with a following wind with the wishbone spread out either side of the mast.
