Abstract

The block has a rectangular upper part (1) and a truncated square pyramid bottom part (2) which allows the distribution of the vertical forces of the structure onto pad or piled foundations. The single entry holes (18) take tubes (4) which form dry star starter bars for vertical holes in precast stanchions, the joint being secured only by a shrink resistant mortar. Three levelling screws (9) are cast into the block, the bottom of the screws having pressure distribution pads, while two symmetrical sockets (3) and notches in the block top surface (19) are provided for handling the block.
