Abstract

A connector for connecting elements such as filaments and grids of a cathode ray tube to a printed circuit is an insulating ring (1) having connecting pins (5) for soldering in the printed circuit board. Each pin (5) is in effect a split pin with one half forming one contact of a spark gap and the other contact of each spark gap being connected to earth through a common metal band (4) on the outside of the ring,(1). The spark gaps are retained in recesses in an insulating band (2) secured to the ring outer surface. The ring also includes a locating groove (8) for receiving a key formed on the tube base and also serving as a focus connector mounting. Adjacent the groove is formed a double hooked connector (10) for securing the ring on a printed circuit board by soldering.
