Abstract

A device intended to ensure an oscillatory movement for the textile warp system on a loom, comprises a cam tangential with a switch, and a crank allowing the engagement and disengagement of the shed-forming mechanism with the loommainshaft. The engagement of the shed-forming mechanism with the mainshaft of the loom is effected after the electric motor feed current has been switched off. This avoids loading due to impact, which can lead to a disorderly control of the whole system during the shed-forming. Further when a new warp is being set up in the loom, a continuous forward movement can be introduced, to bring the knots through the reed.
