Abstract

The elastic coupling is for use between two coaxial rotary components with internal and external cylindrical surfaces. It has slotted pins inserted in seats parallel to the axis of rotation in these surfaces in both components. The pins are hollow, cylindrical and are made of steel, slotted in the lengthwise direction, each turning freely in its seat. A cylindrical bar (10a, 10b) fits with a predetermined amt. of clearance inside each pin (9), so as to limit the redn. in width of the pin slot under the effect of excessive torque.
