Abstract

Installation for descaling a deslagging blooms or similar products comprises a descaling machine, two pairs of pincer rollers, placed respectively at the entrance and exit of the machines, each pincer roller being mounted on a frame oscillating around an axis parallel to that of the roller, the frame bearing the rollers of the same pair being connected to hydraulic cylinders which effect gripping of the product between the rollers and sensing rollers which are located respectively at the entrance to and exit from the machine. These two rollers are mounted at the ends of oscillating arms and are applied to the surface of the product. Specifically, the exit roller is placed in front of the pincer rollers at the exit end, and mounted at the end of an arm pivoting on the oscillating chassis of one of the exit pincer rollers.
