Abstract

The manger has a flat horizontal base on which a bale or stack of bales rests. It has two side grilles suspended by rollers (25) from transverse travel tracks (9) at each end of the grilles. Each track is V-shaped and open to the top, the apex being on the manger centre line. The flat base (3) can have two sloping side portions (4, 5) so as to form a collector trough for the loose hay or straw from the bales, and extending above the lowermost grille edges.
