Abstract
A metal, which resists corrosion by nitric acid, is isostatically pressed round ferromagnetic objects so that the latter are encapsulated in metal. The objects are pref. located in a tube; or between the walls of two concentric pipes; or between two plates; and isostatic pressure is then applied to the tubes, pipes or plates to encapsulate objects. The assembly is placed in a magnetic separator for removing solid particles from liqs., esp. during the regeneration of nuclear fuels.
