THE COMPOSITION CONTAINS 40 TO 90 BY WEIGHT OF A FATTY VISCOUS BASE OF THE THICKENED OIL TYPE AND 10 TO 60 BY WEIGHT OF A SOLID POWDER FORMING OINTMENT WHICH CONSISTS OF POLYOLEFIN HAVING ADSORBED NITROGLYCERINE IN SUCH AS THE CONTENT OF THE LATTER THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE COMPOSITION IS BETWEEN 0.5 AND 4 BY WEIGHT. THIS COMPOSITION ALLOWS PROLONGED LOCAL ADMINISTRATION OF DETERMINED THERAPEUTIC DOSES OF NITROGLYCERINE THROUGH THE SKIN.
