Abstract

The holder consists of a retaining block (1) with a hook (13) for attaching it to a support that allows pivoting about a horizontal axis. The block has a C-shaped cross-section formed by a longitudinal slot in which the cable (11, 12) sits. The corners (10) of the seat for the cable are raised to prevent the cable sliding out sideways during clamping. The clamping device consists of two edges (15, 16) pressed away from one another outwards by a spring (17). The sloping faces of the wedges rest on sloping faces inside the slot and are consequently forced down against the cable pressing it against its seat. The wedges are released from the cable by moving them inwards against their spring by two posts (21, 22) provided for this purpose.
