Abstract

The hinge for a toilet seat comprises two supports (10) which can be placed on top of the seat. Each support (10) comprises a hinge pivot (11) at a horizontal angle, and a vertical tension screw (13) which protrudes underneath. The bottom of (2) each support (10) has a recess (7) in with a diameter greater than that of the screw head (13). The recess (7) is covered by a disc (4) in which is a lengthwise slot (3). The tension screw (3) is inserted from the side of the hinge pivot (11) through the lengthwise slot (3) in the disc (4) and through the recess (7) in the support. The head (5) of the screw (3) rests on the disc.
