Abstract

The guide system is for the driver of a vehicle in a rally or a walker and allows the distances and gradients to be noted. The information is stored on magnetic tapes which can be prepared and purchased and is displayed on operation of a keyboard or switch. An alphanumeric keyboard (1)connected to peripheral memories (2) allows the stored information to be applied to a calculator (4) via. a data input interface (5). A counter (6) allows the distance information to be entered directly from a vehicle. A decoding circuit (8) provides a data output interface (9) with signals which are converted to a form suitable for a display console (10) which comprises a panel of LED's. A loudspeaker (10b) allows sound to be issued in a suitable form for the particular application.
