Abstract

A rapid fitting dashboard accessory has sprung retaining tags (16) on each side of the accessory to grip inside the edges of the dashboard hole, while a cover (12) is clipped to the inside edges of the hole with cut-outs for the tags. The fitting operation does not require any preparation of the dashboard. The accessory is removed by inserting a profiled frame (28) into tooling holes (22) on each side of the accessory. The pull back the spring tags and enable the instrument to be removed.
