Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for examining a moving object which comprises an image sensor emitting a video signal a, a strobe controlled by a signal c, a position detector producing a signal b when the object arrives at a predetermined position , and an apparatus for examining the object 4, the latter comprising means 42, 44, 46 by which a period of time, preceding and following the horizontal synchronization signal f of the image sensor, is established as period of inactivity during which no examination of the object is carried out. On the other hand, the strobe is controlled so as to emit light in synchronism with the position detection signal b when the latter arrives at the same time as the vertical synchronization signal e from the image sensor, or at the beginning of the period of inactivity, immediately after the signal b when the latter arrives at another time. The main purpose of the invention is to examine moving objects.
