Abstract

The unloader consists of a gantry which spans the stack and runs on rails (6, 8) along the stack. The gantry carries a scraper fitted with a number of perpendicular blades. The scrapers are carried on a frame (15) mounted on a crank mechanism (10) to give the scrapers side movement. The movement is towards the chute when the scrapers dig into the material. The scrapers are clear on the return stroke. The material falls into a trough (25) fitted with an endless belt conveyor (26) and covered with a closing hatch.
