Abstract

The terminal comprises an elongate element (5) with a central hole (6), through which the conductor (4) of the heating cable pts. so as to mate with the supply cable (9). At either end of the elongate element (5) is a clamping socket (7, 8) with an internal clamping sleeve (11, 18), respectively engaging the outer sheath (3) of the heating cable of that of the current supply cable (9). Pref. the interior walls of the hole (6) through the elongate element (5) are coated with an insulating layer in the region receiving the supply cable (9). The terminal protects the heating cable from applied tensile force.
