Abstract

The device for detaching nuclear plant steam generator tube bundle supports is for supports in the annular gap between tube shroud and casing of a vertical unit. It comprises a guide bar secured vertically to the shroud top edge after removal of the generator top portion with a rack for controlling the movement of a motor-driven carriage. An adjustable horizontal arm from the carriage supports a carrier rail, made up of several detachable sections projecting into the gap between shroud and casing. A cutting torch at the foot of the rail is supplied through pipes running along it.
