Abstract

A hydrogen-combusting ternary catalyst is claimed exhibiting very high catalytic activity and improved thermal stability, capable of combusting completely hydrogen at comparatively low temp. (90 degrees C) without any environmental pollution and back-fire. The catalyst comprises Ag2O, Co3O4 and MnO2. The Ag content of the catalyst is usually 0.5-90 atom-%, pref. 1-80 atom-%, esp. 5-50 atom-%. The high initial activity of Ag2O is maintained under that state even during calcining at 300-600 degrees C, and the catalyst has high catalytic activity at 300 degrees C.
