Abstract
A programmble controller performs several functions in different combinations, from information derived from a number of detectors. Rapid election is possible between automatic and manual control. A number of detector are connected to an interface unit (5) which provides information. This information is then compared (unit 3) with data stored in a status memory (4) (EPROM). This data is passed to a central processing unit (10) connected to a mode dependent memory (1) (EPROM) and to a timing and programmed counter unit (12). Output data from the processor passes via a control memory (6) to an output interface (7) to activate the various controls (1). A display (8) unit with an indicator panel (13) signals the various steps and message data while lamps (15) on the individual units signal input and output states.
