Abstract

To give an adjustable mounting and guide to textile machine drive shafts or rails, at least one flexible plate is located at one end of the shaft or rail. The plate is made of a material which allows a momentary distortion on a plane vertical to the longitudinal axis of the shaft on oscillation, but with lateral stiffness. The design gives a mounting which requires no lubrication, and which is mfd. without fine tolerances. The plate is made of spring steel, or an elastomer, or of a semi-stiff plastic. Several plates can be provided, located side by side, and of different dimensions. The plate is held at its upper section by a carrier attached to the machine frame, while its drilled lower section passes over the end of the shaft or over the ball bearing ring or other bearing system for the shaft end.
