Abstract

L'accumulateur selon la présente invention comprend un ou plusieurs éléments 1 empilés les uns sur les autres, chaque élément comprenant une enveloppe se présentant sous la forme d'un bac 1. Chaque bac comprend une plaque 7 et 6 formant borne et située sur le côté intérieur et sur le côté extérieur de la partie inférieure 8 de chaque bac 1. Une de ces plaques comprend un bossage s'étendant à travers une ouverture ménagée dans la partie inférieure 8 du bac et est accouplée à l'autre plaque 6 de manière telle que les plaques 7 ou 6 compriment la paroi inférieure 8 de façon permanente. Il en résulte une étanchéité efficace et durable contre toute fuite d'électrolyte au passage par où la borne traverse la paroi inférieure 8.
