Abstract

L'invention concerne une machine à cercler des colis. Ladite machine comporte un plateau compresseur 8 mobile verticalement par rapport à un bâti 5. Le plateau 8 peut être soulevé et abaissé par des pignons 17 d'un arbre transversal 16 et en prise avec des crémaillères 18 assujetties au bâti 5. L'arbre 16 est entraîné par un moteur électrique 12 par l'intermédiaire d'une courroie de transmission et d'un embrayage magnétique 14 à l'entrée d'une boîte à engrenages 15 dont la sortie est reliée à l'arbre 16. L'embrayage magnétique 14 est ajustée de façon à patiner lorsque le plateau applique la compression nécessaire au colis tout en laissant tourner le moteur sans surchauffage. Application au cerclage de colis.
