Abstract

The measurement value indicator is esp. for indicating speed, revolution rate, distance, time etc. in vehicles and has an electrooptical cell with a number of individually controlled display elements driven by an integrated control circuit according to measurement transducer and/or switching signals. It is developed w.r.t. similar systems for reduced wiring between the control circuit and indicator, thus reducing production costs and device reliability. Some of the control circuit elements are combined with the indicator cell in a unit so as to be separable only by destroying the unit. The integrated control circuit semi-conducting layers (41-44) are placed on the same side of a plate (11) as the electrodes (14) of the electrooptical cell (10) or on the other side.
