Abstract
The windmill has a vertical axis with horizontal blades. A casing around part of the blade assemblies forms a Venturi tube to direct wind onto the blades. A vertical support (1) supports a jib (2) which rotates on bearings. The jib carries a support (4) at each end which receives the bearings for the blade assemblies (5). Each support (4e has an alternator which is driven by the blade assembly to generate electricity. A vertical element (9) which extends the areas of both blade assemblies allows the mounting of two spars to which the blades (11) are attached. The blades are profiled with a semi cylindrical face in which the wind (18) is directed by a casing (15, 16). A tail assembly (14) orientates the windmill into the wind.
