Abstract
Cet appareil possède un récipient de pression 1, généralement cylindrique, qui possède une chambre principale et une chambre secondaire à une extrémité. Le fluide à séparer entre dans la chambre principale par un tuyau 3 et subit une division de courant et deux inversions du sens d'écoulement avant de pénétrer dans un dispositif séparateur 5a qui est composé d un paquet de plaques ondulées. Le composant plus léger sort par le côté superieur de ce paquet et est évacué par la sortie 7, tandis que le composant plus lourd s'écoule à travers le dispositif séparateur dans la chambre secondaire, d'où il est évacué par la sortie 9. L'invention est applicable en particulier à la séparation d'huile et d'eau.
