Abstract
Detector has a mechanical oscillation level sensor and a mechanical oscillation stimulation and electrical sensing system connected to a warning device via an amplifier. Unit has high operating reliability and employs forced stimulation of the mechanical oscillator which achieves its resonant frequency independent of external vibration sources. The mechanical vibration system is shock stimulated by a vibration generator and produces outputs to the level transducer and the amplifier input. The output of the amplifier is limited by a voltage amplitude limiting circuit which drives a differentiating stage input. The differentiating stage output provides an electrical input to the vibration generator, thus enabling the stimuli to be synchronised with the mechanical vibrations.
