Abstract
The PCB connector is coded in such a way as to rpevent incorrect alignment or wrong connection between plug and socket electrodes. Coding may be unique to the connector pair and decided as required by the user breaking away a section of the connector surround to create a keying point. The female connection is laid against the printed circuit board side wiring going through a right angle before entering the connector electrode group. A surround is riveted around the connector through the PCB making them integral, the long face of the surround having equispaced rectangular shallow side bosses. The male connector bolted through to a base plate or chassis etc. has a similar surround the long face of which has a series of rectangular cut-aways matching the socket bosses. Some of the cut-aways are only perforated (43) and slotted (41) allowing the user a choice of required slots by breaking out the panel side.
