Abstract

Photographic process is claimed for effecting optical reprography of Ag-emulsion diapositives and/or other Ag-emulsion transparent photographic prods. of density range log D 0.3-3.5, in which the gray values or opacity of a sample are transmitted identically in the whole contrast range up to the log D 3.0 density. The improvement comprises using a UV radiation in the range 280-350 nm and at least, in any case, in the range 300-350, this radiation being made uniform by means of a dispersion plate which transmits UV rays over its entire cross-section. The process is partic. for radiography, avoids loss of information on reduction, and permits the transfer of samples showing a large contrast range.
