Abstract

The trimaran is moulded from plastics in two sections. The lower section contains the three hulls, which are joined at the waterline to the upper section, to form a buoyant space. A central watertight compartment is moulded into the structure, and utilises the seat as alid. Steering and throttle cables run through a passage along the boat centreline to an outboard motor. the design gives improved handling at speed, the tendency for the bows to lift out of the water is reduced, and transverse rolling is decreased.
