Abstract

A support bearing frame supports the container in a horizontal position. The trolley which can travel in the longitudinal direction of the container has a front plate facing towards one end of the container. This front plate is of shielding material and possesses detachable fixing means for the shock absorbers to be mounted on the container; a handling facility, esp. openings in the plate is used for attaching or disconnecting the fixing means by which the shock absorbers are attached to the transportation container. Pref. the front plate together with the shock absorbers can be raised transversely to the direction of travel of the trolley, esp. by being attached by lifting eyes to a crane. Exposure of personnel to radiation is minimal.
