Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet d'améliorer le rendement de la conversion de l'énergie électrique en un rayonnement résonnant par la réduction du temps d'emprisonnement du rayonnement dans les dispositifs dont le plasma contient du mercure. Selon l'invention, le mercure contient une quantité d'isotopes Hg **196 supérieure à celle du mercure naturel. De façon plus précise, la proportion de ces isotopes est supérieure à 0,146 % et, plus particulièrement, à 1 % dans les dispositifs émettant un rayonnement à 254 nanomètres. Application aux lampes fluorescentes.
