Abstract

The anchorage for a load on a cable has two parts (1a, b) pivoted together near their ends (2). Each carries a jaw and an arcuate surface (13, 1A). The jaws also come in contact and links (15, 16) are joined to the pivots (8, 12). The arcuate surfaces are at the opposite ends to the pivot and the links enter between these and the pivot. The links are thus pivoted and detent stops limit movement. The links have a throat to allow passage of the cable and a pivoted rod on one part locks to the other.
