Abstract

Prodn. of fuel oils (industrial or domestic heating oils or diesel oil) is carried out by distilling used lubricating oil. The process provides large energy savings and overcomes pollution problems; the distillate is a clear liq. with similar characteristics to commercial fuel oils. A process in which the product can be used as a lubricant is also claimed.
