Abstract
The storage and transport is for free, disc-shaped semi-conductor elements (11). The Semi-conductor elements (11) are stacked in a gas-light tube (1), spaced by distance plates (6) and loaded by a compression spring (12). A closing device with a lid (2) directly shuts off the open tube side and the lid (2) and has a sealable opening (15) to set up the type of atmosphere which would be necessary for hermetic encapsulation of a single semi-conductor element which has its own housing. A small tube (16) fits into the opening (15) and this can be squeezed off for closure when hot. The clamping ring (3) for the closure is pref. of aluminium.
