Abstract

L'invention concerne la fabrication de pièces en matières plastiques. Le procédé faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type consistant à effectuer une compression d'une poudre de polytétrafluoro-éthylène en présence d'au moins un élément en matériau élastique dans un moule, avec séparation subséquente de l'ébauche en polytétrafluoro-éthylène obtenue 4 d'avec ledit élément en matériau élastique, survie d'un traitement thermique de ladite ébauche, et est caractérisé en ce que l'élément en matériau élastique 5 en présence duquel est réalisé le moulage est en polyuréthane élastique poreux, dont la porosité volumétrique est comprise de préférence entre 40 et 85 %. L'invention peut être utilisée par exemple dans l'industrie chimique pour rendre étanches les tuyauteries, dans les appareils de robinetterie, par exemple les valves à soufflet et à diaphragme, en électrotechnique pour l'isolement des câbles haute fréquence et résistant à la chaleur, les connecteurs, les isolateurs.
