Abstract

Articles (G) are arranged one after the other in a row on a rest (1). The rest (1) is inclined by an angle relative to the horizontal so that the articles (G) are under an advancing force caused by their weight. At the front end (2) of the rest (1), a slide (4) protrudes into the path of the articles (G), bearing against which slide is the article (G') which is at the front of the row (R) in each case. By means of a drive (5), the slide (4) can be moved for a given period into a lower position which is sufficient for the front article (G') to be able to be tipped over the tipping edge (3). In this case, the period is sufficiently short for the slide (4) to be able to block the path for the next article by returning to its rest position. Standardised packs can thus be provided and removed for rapid access, e.g. in pharmacies and chemists. Above all, articles of different types and dimensions can be inserted.
