Abstract

The system assembles sets of containers each containing a single batch of material, e.g. of yoghurt. Each vessel ends in a flange at the top. The external outline of each flange is polygonal and two sides of two flanges are assembled edge-to-edge, using a part of the two flanges as a reserve of material. Lips can be formed on part of the flange edges at the time of manufacture. The two adjacent edges can be heated and compressed, or welded together ultrasonically.
