Abstract
The cable reel is to take up the excess length of leads normally supplied with equipment by the manufacturer. The reel is a rectangular trough with a central flexible divider wall (12) appreciably shorter in length than the overall reel dimension. This carries a top horizontal wall (14) sufficiently less in width than the trough to allow the cable to pass through the gap (17) between it and the side wall if the centre wall is distorted. The reel can be held in a fixed position by bolts through holes (18) in the floor of the trough. The corners of the top surface are rounded off to ease the entry of the cable which is then wound around the centre wall.
