Abstract

The box has a set of vertical fins for coiling cable to absorb excess lengths of cable. The storage box for accommodating a length of electrical cable comprises a flat base with a series of parallel fins (12,14,16,18,20) standing upright from the base. The box may be an oval shape, with a perimeter wall standing around the parallel fins. Cable may be wound around the fins, lying in a number of coils and thus accommodating a substantial length of cable. The ends of the cable pass out through two slots (32,34) formed in the perimeter wall. The box is covered by a hinged lid (26) with a retaining clip (30).
