On désire un matériau très efficace en hyperfréquence, facile à mettre en oeuvre. La matière plastique choisie est le polyuréthane et l'absorbant est de la magnétite. Le taux en poids de magnétite est de 40 à 60 %. A ce dernier taux, le matériau est très efficace tout en ayant de bonnes propriétés mécaniques.
