Abstract

Diamond prodn. by bringing into collision a solid body and a mixt. of powders comprising graphite and a non-metallic material transparent to thermal radiation in which the velocity of propagation of the sound wave is sufficiently greater than in graphite, collision with this powder being made at a velocity of propagation of the sound wave in graphite, but below that in the powder itself.
