Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un plâtre obtenu à partir de phosphogypse et au procédé pour son obtention. Elle est caractérisée en ce que, selon ce procédé, on soumet la matière brute ou sommairement lavée à un traitement thermique en deux phases : une première phase de déshydratation, d'une durée comprise entre 30 et 90 mn environ, à une température comprise entre 110 et 150 degrés C, de préférence entre 120 et 135 degrés C, puis une seconde phase de conditionnement d'une durée allant de 10 mn à quelques heures, avec maintien de la température à une valeur sensiblement constante comprise entre 130 et 180 degrés C, de préférence entre 140 et 160 degrés C, sous une pression de vapeur d'eau au moins égale à 100 Torrs, de préférence comprise entre 150 et 250 Tom, un oxyde alcalin ou alcalino-terreux ou précurseur d'un tel oxyde étant ajouté au cours du traitement thermique. Elle se rapporte à un tel plâtre.
