Abstract

The installation comprises a large jig, floor-mounted on a raised platform and supplied with horizontal (2) and transversal (1) reinforcing rails and panels from two roller conveyors. These are assembled in locations (8) in the jig, using suitable handling methods. A mobile portal frame (27) can move on rials (10) over the jig and this frame is used to locate a pneumatic nailer head (13) which is transversely mobile on runners (21). The operator stands on the assembled floor bases and moves the portal frame and nailer over its surface to insert the nails as necessary.
