Abstract

Procédé de préparation de détergents-dispersants de TBN au moins égal à 200 et contenant au moins 2 % de magnésium, par : - sulfurisation par du soufre d'un alkylphénol en présence d'un alkylbenzène sulfonate de magnésium ou de calcium de TBN inférieur ou égal à 150, d'un constituant alcalino-terreux choisi parmi la chaux, les mélanges oxyde de magnésium actif-chaux ou oxyde de magnésium-hydroxyde alcalin et d'un alkylène glycol; - précarbonatation du mélange obtenu par du CO2 ; - suralcalinisation-carbonatation du mélange précarbonaté à l'aide d'oxyde de magnésium et éventuellement de chaux, de CO2 et d'alkylène glycol; - et élimination de l'alkylène glycol en excès. Les détergents-dispersants obtenus peuvent être utilisés pour améliorer le pouvoir détergent-dispersant des huiles lubrifiantes.
