Abstract

Procédé permettant d'obtenir une couche protectrice continue et non poreuse Il comprend le dépôt d'une couche poreuse de chrome métallique sur le substrat, et, l'exposition de la couche à une atmosphère comprenant une vapeur d'activateur à base d'halogénure, à une température élevée, pour la faire réagir avec la couche de chrome et former un halogénure de chrome qui dépose du chrome qui diffuse dans le substrat pour former une couche protectrice d'alliage chrome-carbone-fer continue et essentiellement non poreuse, liée par diffusion au substrat. Application aux boîtiers de piles sodium-soufre.
