Abstract

L'invention est relative à une échelle pliante comprenant deux montants 1 sur lesquels sont articulés des barreaux 3-4 constitués chacun par deux portions articulées l'une sur l'autre 6, les différents axes d'articulation 5 et 6 étant perpendiculaires au plan de l'échelle, les axes 6 des portions 3 et 4 entre elles sont reliés par une tige résistante 2. En dessous du barreau inférieur de l'échelle est disposé un compas dont les branches 8 sont articulées à la manière des barreaux eux-mêmes, d'une part entre elles 9, d'autre part sur les montants 10, cependant que le sommet du compas constitue un appui 17 pour l'extrémité inférieure 19 de la tige 2 lorsque l'échelle est en position déployée. Une application est la realisation d'une échelle à la fois légère et résistante.
