Abstract

La présente invention concerne des perfectionnements apportés aux pistons alternatifs. Ce piston est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend, en combinaison, d'une part au moins une chambre de décompression 8 délimitée entre le fond d'une gorge annulaire 5 et la face interne du segment 4 logé dans cette gorge 5, et une pièce mobile 9 dans cette chambre de décompression constituée généralement par un anneau fendu de petite section droite de 0,3 à 0,5 mm, et d'autre part un cordon 3 au moins présentant sur son pourtour des parties saillantes 6 et des parties en creux 7, les parties saillantes 6 ayant un diamètre initial, avant rodage, tel que le jeu diamétral à froid entre le pourtour du cordon et l'alésage du cylindre dans lequel le piston est logé, soit sensiblement égal à la moitié du jeu habituel correspondant entre cordon classique et cylindre. Applicable aux moteurs thermiques, compresseurs et autres machines industrielles.
